Meet the founder
 

Cornelius Claeys has dedicated his entire career to biofuels and low carbon fuels, including as Head of Market Intelligence at the world's largest renewable diesel and SAF producer, and as Director Renewables at a leading consulting firm in the field.
 

From 2023-2025, Cornelius spearheaded Neste's analytical effort. The team he led there was responsible for briefing the company's top management about the biofuel, feedstock and broader energy business environment. This included renewable fuel policies, competitor dynamics, supply-demand forecasting, macroeconomic analysis and price assessments. Between 2018-2023, under his guidance the renewable fuels team at Stratas Advisors became a go-to source for biofuels and feedstock intelligence.
 

Cornelius is a popular speaker at dozens of industry conferences and his analyses have featured in many of the leading industry publications. Based in Brussels, he has also lived and worked in the Middle East and Asia. Cornelius launched CleanMotion Advisory in June 2025, and is the leading consultant in all the company's current projects.
